The institute has completed the fourth edition of the set of federal laws and legislations, as the institute formed a scientifically qualified special committee which conducted review of previous laws, added their consequent amendments, and deleted the cancelled ones.
1- Constitution of UAE:
UAE constitution does include: martial law, judicial authority law, Federal Supreme Court law, law of regulating judicial relations between member emirates, law of establishing federal courts and transferring powers of local authorities to them, in addition to the MOJ organizational structure.
2- Civil transactions law:
The civil proceedings law includes: blood money assessment law, in addition to the personal obligations and rights, contracts, genuine rights in rem, in rem endorsements.
3- Civil proceedings law:
The civil procedure law does include: law of affirmation in civil and commercial dealings, law of regulating cassation cases and procedures, as well as law of judicial fees before federal courts, law of notaries public, law of reconciliation committees, in addition to law of expertise regulation, and law of the bar regulation.
4- Commercial transactions law:
The commercial transactions law does include: trade in general, commitments and commercial contracts, banking processes, as well as commercial papers, in addition to bankruptcy and its conciliation.
5- Medical laws:
The medical laws include: law of licensing fertility centers inside UAE, medical liability law, law of special health facilities, law of natural-based pharmaceuticals, law of regulating transplant of human organs, in addition to law of practicing certain medical professions by non-doctors and pharmacists, law of pharmacy, law of prevention of communicable diseases, and - finally – law of confining and curing mental patients, and law of practicing medicine.
6- Law of trade companies:
The trade companies law does include: law of banks, financial institutions and Islamic investment companies, fees of services provided by Ministry of Economy, law of commercial register, and law of free zones.
7- Law of insurance companies and agents:
The law of insurance companies and agents includes: federal law no. (9) of 1984 concerning insurance companies and agents, in addition to ministerial decree no. (32) of 1984 on the executive code of federal law no. (9) of 1984 concerning insurance companies and agents.
8- Legislations of Securities and Commodities Authority (SCA):
These include federal law no. (4) of 2000 concerning Securities and Commodities Authority (SCA), and several resolutions related to Securities and Commodities Authority (SCA).
9- Intellectual property laws:
Laws of intellectual property include: trademarks, copyright and related rights, industrial property, press and publications law.
10- Decree on human resources law within federal government:
The decree on human resources law within federal government does include: pension and social insurance law, social security law, law of regulation of birth and death registrations.
11- Law of regulation of work relations:
Law of regulation of work relations does include: federal law no. (8) of 1980 concerning regulation of work relations, cabinet resolution no. (11) of 1982 concerning regulation of legal proceedings and the other rules required for smooth work before conciliation committees and the supreme arbitration committee for settlement of collective labor disputes, as well as the ministerial decree no. (57) of 1987 concerning rules on licensing for recruiting or supplying non-national laborers, in addition to federal law no. (18) of 1995 concerning simple crafts, cabinet resolution no. (14) of 2001 concerning bank deposit, ministerial decree no. (373) of 2004 on amendment of executive code of bank deposit issued by ministerial decree no. (218) of 2001.
12- Law of Environment Protection and Development:
The law of environment protection and development does include: pesticides law, law of exploitation, protection and development of fisheries and aquatic resources, law of regulation and control over usage of radioactive sources, as well as law of regulation and control over international trade of endangered animals and plants.
13- Civil status law:
The civil status law does include: federal law no. (28) of 2005 concerning civil status, including: marriage, separation, capacity and guardianship, will, estates and bequests. As well, the civil status law includes: federal law no. (21) of 1997 concerning determination and fees of dower within marriage contract, in addition to federal law no. (47) of 1992 concerning foundation of marriage fund, and – eventually – cabinet resolution no. (12) of 2004 concerning executive financial and accounting code of marriage fund.
14- Demonstrative memo on civil status law:
The Demonstrative memo on civil status law does include: federal law no. (28) of 2005 concerning civil status, including: marriage, separation, capacity and guardianship, will, estates and bequests.
15- Penal Law:
The penal law does include: federal law no. (3) of 1987 on issuance of penal code, including: general terms, crimes and their punitions.
16- Special punitive laws:
The special punitive laws include: law of delinquent and displaced juveniles, law of anti-terrorist crimes, law of narcotics and mentally-affecting substances, law of firearms, ammunitions and explosives, as well as law of criminating money laundry, law of anti-fraud in commercial dealings, law of anti-commercial concealment, in addition to law of anti-cyber crimes, law of electronic transactions and commerce, law of control over trading in gemstones, precious metals and its hallmarking, law of control over import, export, and transit of raw diamonds, and law of regulation of transplant of human organs.
17- Law of retributive proceedings:
The law of retributive proceedings does include: law of Shariah courts' jurisdiction to hear certain crimes, law of rehabilitation, law of regulation of penitentiaries.
18- Law of naturalization and passports:
The law of naturalization and passports does include: federal law no. (17) of 1972 concerning naturalization and passports, in addition to federal law no. (6) of 1973 concerning entry and residence of foreigners.
19- Traffic Law:
The traffic law does include: federal law no. (21) of 1995 concerning traffic regulations, and federal law no. (8) of 1986 concerning defining axle load for vehicles using UAE's paved roads.
